An employee is NOT allowed to transfer his/her sponsorship from Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority to a new sponsor under the normal circumstances. However, each request will be reviewed individually and in the case where an applicant is transferring to a Government entity or semi Government organization, the Authority approves the request subject to Immigration regulations.
Requirements
The following documents are required for submission at GSO's Business Counter:
The release form (Immigration format) signed and stamped by the new sponsor along with the Computer Card photocopy.
Original passport
Original ID Card.
End of Service Entitlement Form duly signed.
The Residence Permit must be valid during the transfer period.
Time Line
Company Representatives may collect the approved transfer form along with the original passport from GSO�s Delivery Counter for further processing at the Immigration after two (2) working days from original documents submission.
Important!
Processing the Transfer of a Residence Permit must be completed within one (1) month from the initial approval granted by Immigration.
A new Residence Visa photocopy must be submitted to GSO's Business Counter immediately after stamping the new visa. The company's records will not be cleared until a photocopy of the employee's new visa is submitted to GSO's Business Counter.
If the transfer process is not completed within the set timelines, GSO will declare the sponsored employee as an absconder without further reference unless the absconder returns with a new sponsor.
