Dear Business Partners, Please note, due to technical challenges, effective 2nd of Jan 2012 EIDA processing will commence upon completion of Residence Visa Stamping. Applicant is kindly requested to proceed to EIDA office within next 7 days to stay in compliance with the government regulation and avoid penalties. This change is done to avoid current delays incurred by our business partners since the introduction of EIDA card process. As per the new process the EIDA registration form will be handed along with the stamped passport. Above said process change applicable only to the requests which are submitted 2nd Jan 2012 onwards. This change could remain permanent if the service providers cannot resolve the technical challenges. This new process will remain effective until further notice.

With immediate effect, lease contract of a minimum two bedroom is required for new application and renewal of housemaid visa.

Due to EIDA ID card processing, there will be delay in the process of residence visa application in all priorities (Express, Urgent and Normal). Sorry for the inconvenience!!!

Please make sure that Establishment Card is valid prior to apply online transactions and avoid processing delays!!!!

Certain nationalities viz. Iraqi, Iranian, South Africans, Moroccan, Tunisian, Nigerian, Kenyan and Palestinians Entry Visa (Employment, Student and Visit) request MUST required an Undertaking Letter signed by the company�s own letter head in Arabic. For Palestinian nationality, in addition to the undertaking letter another sworn affidavit signed by the company required. Also these nationalities visa issuance (New & Renewal) is subject to the Immigration Security clearance; therefore priority will count only after security clearance

Internal Transfer

The sponsored employee of a Free Zone company is allowed to transfer his/her employment within the Free Zone, if an approval from the current company and GSO is obtained.

Requirements

The following documents are required for submission at GSO's Business Counter:

"Application for Internal Transfer " duly filled and signed by authorized signatories of both companies.
One (1) passport photocopy of applicant including visa page
One (1) color photograph with white background, size 4.3cm x 5.5cm
Original Employment Contract of the new employer
Original ID Card
Bank Guarantee (if applicable)

Normal Processing :	5 Working Days
Urgent Processing :	2 Working Days
Express Processing :	1 Working day

Important!

In case of a dispute between an employee and the employer, and hence both parties fail to reach an agreement, the Authority reserves the right to cancel, transfer or withdraw the absconder status of the concerned employee without referring to the employer.
Upon completion of back end data entry, a new Employment Card will be issued bearing the same validity of the old card.
To amend the job title on the Residence Visa, an additional charge and "Application for Internal Transfer" are required for submission.
